Part midrange, part horn-loaded compression driver, this hybrid design combines raw output with pinpoint control. The carbon fiber cone resists the elements while delivering intense mid-to-high frequency performance through a wide-dispersion horn flare.

Horn-Loaded Compression Driver

Unlike a conventional coaxial tweeter, the LBN654 Carbon Fiber NEO mounts its compression driver behind a horn flare. As a result, efficiency climbs and the speaker projects rather than radiates. Moreover, it extends high-frequency response without a separate tweeter install. Each pair includes 12dB-per-octave crossovers with PTC protection, and the LBN654 is bi-amp capable so midrange and tweeter can run on separate channels.

Neodymium Motor

The LBN654 Carbon Fiber NEO runs a high-strength neodymium motor in a cast aluminum frame. Meanwhile, the 2″ wet-wound copper voice coil handles sustained power. In addition, the carbon fiber cone stays rigid where paper flexes.

At 97 dB average sensitivity, the LBN654 gets loud on modest power. Consequently, it holds vocal presence over wind, engine noise, and bass without straining the amplifier.
