The EVM654 Shallow Mount Midrange delivers pro-audio output from factory speaker locations. Specifically, its 2.126″ mounting depth fits door panels, bike fairings, and pods where deeper drivers need custom fabrication.

Aluminum Bullet Phase Plug

The EVM654 uses a machined aluminum bullet in place of a conventional dust cap. As a result, it acts as a radiator, pulling heat away from the voice coil so the speaker takes sustained power without thermal compression. Moreover, it shapes how sound leaves the cone, extending output into the upper midrange without giving up the mids where vocals live.

Construction

The EVM654 Shallow Mount Midrange runs a 1.5″ two-layer copper voice coil on a Kapton bobbin, which handles heat better than paper formers. Meanwhile, the 20oz ferrite motor keeps the cone controlled through the midband. In addition, the paper cone stays light and efficient. The cloth surround holds up to heat and moisture better than foam.

At 95 dB average sensitivity, the EVM654 gets loud on modest power. Consequently, it holds vocal presence over road noise, wind, and bass in open-air motorcycle and powersports builds without straining the amplifier.
