9.25″ x 3″ Progressive Spider

The 9.25 x 3 progressive roll spider is a single-layer black poly-cotton spider designed to stack with the 3-layer progressive spider pack. Adding the single-layer spider allows builders to increase total suspension stiffness beyond the standard 3-layer configuration.

Spider requirements depend on moving mass, excursion, geometry, material, and operating conditions. However, different subwoofer designs require different suspension stiffness.

Our 9.25 x 3 spider combines resin-coated black poly-cotton fabric with a progressive corrugation design.

Poly-Cotton Spider

The resin treatment helps establish the formed shape and suspension characteristics of the poly-cotton spider. Material, resin treatment, corrugation geometry, and layer count all contribute to the mechanical behavior of the finished spider.

Progressive Roll Spider

Progressive corrugation geometry varies across the spider surface, rather than following the uniform corrugation pattern of a linear roll spider. This geometry provides a different suspension characteristic through excursion.
