10″ x 3″ Single Layer Linear Spider

The 10″ x 3″ linear spider is a black poly-cotton spider designed to stack with the our dual layer spider pack. Adding the single-layer spider allows builders to increase total suspension stiffness beyond the standard dual-layer configuration.

Spider requirements depend on moving mass, excursion, geometry, material, and operating conditions. However, different subwoofer designs require different suspension stiffness.

Our 10″ x 3″ spider combines resin-coated black poly-cotton fabric with a linear corrugation design. The resin treatment helps establish the formed shape and suspension characteristics of the poly-cotton spider. Material, resin treatment, corrugation geometry, and layer count all contribute to the mechanical behavior of the finished spider.

Linear corrugation geometry follows a uniform pattern across the spider surface. However, actual suspension behavior depends on spider geometry, material, resin treatment, layer count, and the completed driver assembly.
