Binding Post Ring Terminal Tab
The Binding Post Ring Terminal Tab is a precision-fit connector designed for high-current subwoofer builds. Built specifically for subwoofer frame installation, this tab allows you to securely crimp your tinsel lead wire directly to your spring-loaded binding terminal. Whether you’re repairing a blown sub, building a custom woofer, or assembling recone kits, this small part makes a big difference in electrical performance.
This tab measures 30mm in length and is crafted from high-conductivity metal. It resists corrosion, handles high current, and maintains a firm mechanical bond under extreme SPL conditions. It’s trusted by pro reconers and car audio builders who can’t afford weak points in their wiring.
The open crimp flap design makes installation quick and secure. Just slide your tinsel lead into the flap, fold it over, and crimp it firmly with pliers or a proper crimp tool. It’s a solid mechanical connection that doesn’t require soldering, but you can still solder it if you want extra reinforcement. Either way, it holds strong under high-current loads and keeps your sub hitting hard without signal loss.
It’s also a perfect match for our 4-gauge spring-loaded terminals, including models DF-401 and DFO-402. Compared to standard terminals, this version features a larger 0.365-inch wire hole, allowing for heavier gauge wire or doubled-up leads without modification. That’s especially useful for high-power builds running thick wire directly from the amp.
If your old tab is loose, corroded, or damaged, you’re leaving performance on the table. Replacing it with a new one like this restores your connection and protects your system. Every serious builder should keep a few on hand—because you never want your sub’s output held back by a cheap, worn-out tab.
This tab is small, simple, and essential. If you’re running serious power, don’t overlook it.
