The JL Audio 12W7 / 12W7AE is JL Audio’s flagship subwoofer and one of the most respected drivers in car audio. Like any subwoofer with a foam surround, the foam will eventually wear out. When it does, rebuilding is almost always the smarter move. Our foam surround is a direct replacement that gets your 12W7 back to full performance for a fraction of the cost of new.

Many professional audio shops and reconers worldwide trust our high quality USA-made foam surround. The dark gray color matches the original and the surround requires no trimming. As a result, you get a clean, factory quality finish every time.

Installation Notes

Take your time with prep and fitment before applying glue. First, remove all old foam and adhesive completely. Then, clean the cone edge with 99.9% isopropyl alcohol before gluing the surround down. After that, dry-fit the surround to confirm it sits correctly. Finally, a careful install helps you get a clean result and a long-lasting bond.
