The JL Audio 8W7 / 8W7AE  has earned a reputation as one of the finest 8-inch subwoofers ever made. When the foam surround fails, replacing it is often the smarter move. Our foam surround is a direct replacement that lets you repair your 8W7 for a fraction of the cost of buying a new subwoofer.

Installation Notes

Take your time with prep and fitment before applying glue. First, remove all old foam and adhesive completely. Then, clean the cone edge with 99.9% isopropyl alcohol before gluing the surround down. After that, dry-fit the surround to confirm it sits correctly. Finally, a careful install helps you get a clean result and a long-lasting bond.
