This 8″ x 3″ progressive roll spider pack with red mesh overlay is built for high-power subwoofer applications where strength and control are critical. Made from a thicker poly-cotton fabric than standard spiders and impregnated with stiffening resin, this design provides greater durability, improved heat resistance, and more reliable compliance under extreme conditions.

Progressive Roll Design

This spider features a varying corrugation pattern where the inner rolls are softer for small, controlled movements, while the outer rolls stiffen during large excursions. This creates non-linear compliance, meaning the restoring force increases as the voice coil moves farther from rest. The result is smooth low-level response combined with stability and control at peak excursion.
