1oz Clear Rubber Speaker Adhesive Glue – M3035
The M3035 Clear Rubber Speaker Adhesive is one of the most versatile speaker repair glues available. It is a high-viscosity, solvent-based rubber cement formulated specifically for the loudspeaker industry. Consequently, it delivers the kind of bond strength and flexibility that professional reconers and serious DIYers depend on.
Furthermore, the M3035 bonds to materials that most adhesives struggle with. These include polypropylene, styrene, butyl rubber, and most coated cloth materials. As a result, it works across a wide range of speaker builds and repairs.
What You Can Use It For
- Replacing or attaching foam and rubber surrounds
- Attaching dust caps to cones
- Attaching gaskets
- Repairing small holes in cones
- Attaching surround to paper, poly, aluminum, and composite cones
- Lead-wire dressing
- Grill cloth to wood or plastic frames
Why Reconers Trust It
The M3035 develops tack within 4 minutes, giving you enough time to make adjustments before the bond sets. Therefore, it is forgiving to work with, even for first-timers. For a full cure, allow at least 24 hours. However, maximum bond strength may take 48 to 72 hours depending on temperature and humidity.
In addition, the M3035 is both waterproof and vibration resistant. It also remains flexible even in extreme conditions, which is critical for moving speaker components. Moreover, the clear formula keeps your build looking clean and professional.
Application Tips
Before applying, make sure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of grease or debris. For best results, lightly roughen the surface beforehand. When attaching a dust cap, scuff the lip with sandpaper to improve bonding strength. For surround-to-frame bonding, apply the adhesive to the frame and allow it to air out for about one minute before positioning the surround.
Important: Do not use M3035 for gluing a voice coil to a spider. CA glue is required for that application.
Storage and Handling
The shelf life is at least 6 months. Store at 60–80°F for best results. Lower temperatures may temporarily increase viscosity. Higher temperatures may permanently affect it. Because M3035 contains solvents, always keep the container tightly closed when not in use. If it thickens over time, thin it with toluene or MEK. The softening point is 230°F and the maximum temperature resistance is 250°F.
Warning: Extremely flammable. Do not use or store near heat, sparks, or open flame. Use only with adequate ventilation.
Warning: This product can expose you to chemicals including N-Hexane, which is known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information, visit www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
