When drying BPWC-6020 to the B-stage, do not exceed 250°F to prevent premature setting. Exceeding this temperature can compromise its effectiveness. Conduct the final curing process, the thermoset stage, at temperatures between 290°F and 350°F. This stage should last for at least 30 minutes to ensure complete curing and full strength.
By following these temperature guidelines, BPC6020 provides a reliable bond suitable for voice coil applications. This two-stage process ensures initial flexibility during assembly and robust performance after final curing. It is ideal for high-performance audio systems, ensuring strong and durable adhesive properties
APPLICATION:
Apply by roller or brush for best results. Make sure to apply a thin coat to the windings of the wire.
After air drying the coil until it is dry to the touch, place it in the oven and dry at 250 degrees Fahrenheit for 2 minutes. Remove the parts and allow them to cool. Then, post cure in the oven for 30-40 minutes at 325 degrees Fahrenheit to achieve maximum heat resistance in the second stage. . After the initial drying stage, you can re-activate the adhesive with MEK.
STORAGE AND HANDLING:
The shelf life is at least 6 months. For optimum shelf life of this product, store at temperatures of 60-80 F. Lower temperatures will cause increased viscosity of a temporary nature, whereas higher temperatures may have a permanent effect on viscosity.
WARNING: FLAMMABLE
Will Burn when exposed to spark or any flame source. Use only in a well ventilated area during application and until vapors subside.
