Our 2″ dual 2 ohm voice coil features a 4-layer copper wire wound on a black anodized aluminum former, ensuring superior heat dissipation. The black anodized aluminum former not only improves thermal conductivity but also increases durability and corrosion resistance. The use of copper wire enhances electrical conductivity, providing efficient power transfer and effective performance in audio applications. Copper offers superior strength and is much easier to solder to than aluminum. 

Additionally, copper’s excellent conductivity ensures minimal power loss, leading to improved efficiency and sound quality. Copper’s higher density compared to aluminum contributes to better control and stability of the voice coil, enhancing the overall audio performance.

This voice coil utilizes a high-temperature adhesive that withstands temperatures up to 500°F. This superior construction has earned customer trust, especially when compared to competitors’ coils that fail due to poor-quality adhesives from overseas.
