$3.45 – $139.95Price range: $3.45 through $139.95
Water-based clear PVA adhesive for speaker assembly and repair. Bonds paper, paperboard, cloth, foam, polystyrene foam, and wood with a flexible, dries-clear finish. Non-flammable and easy water cleanup.
L2100 Clear PVA Water-Based Speaker Adhesive
The L2100 Clear PVA Water-Based Speaker Adhesive is a polyvinyl acetate (PVA) emulsion (4,500–5,500 cps) formulated specifically for the loudspeaker industry. It bonds paper cones, paperboard, cloth surrounds, foam surrounds, polystyrene foam, gaskets, dust caps, and spiders to wood and most porous materials. Furthermore, it dries clear for a clean, professional finish on visible joints.
Additionally, L2100 is available in sizes from 0.5 oz up to gallon, making it suitable for both quick single-speaker repairs and high-volume OEM assembly.
L2100 Speaker Repair Uses
The L2100 Clear PVA Adhesive works for a wide range of speaker assembly and repair jobs, including:
- Replacing or attaching thinner foam surrounds
- Dampening cloth surrounds to improve cone control
- Attaching paper dust caps to cones
- Securing foam surrounds to baskets
- Attaching gaskets to frames
- Repairing holes in paper cones
- Bonding paperboard and polystyrene foam components
Cure Time and Bond Strength
Once applied, L2100 tacks up in about 5 minutes, giving you a short window for adjustments. Full cure takes 24 hours at room temperature. After that, the bond is flexible, strong, and clean-looking on visible joints.

Clear Water-Based vs Rubber Adhesive— Which Adhesive Should You Use?
Choose L2100 when working with paper, paperboard, cloth, foam, polystyrene foam, or wood — especially for visible joints where a clear, professional finish is needed. For rubber surrounds, Santoprene, plastic, or polypropylene, use L3890 Black Rubber Adhesive instead. For high-wattage subwoofers with thick foam surrounds and high excursion, also use L3890.
Storage and Handling
When stored at 60–80°F, shelf life is at least 6 months. However, lower temperatures can temporarily increase viscosity, while higher temperatures may permanently affect it.
⚠️ Do not allow to freeze. Freezing will permanently damage the adhesive.
Important Rebuild Note
L2100 PVA adhesive is not suitable for bonding spider to voice coil — instead, use CA glue or one of our epoxy adhesives (FLXEP860 or BEP870) for that joint. L2100 is also not suitable for rubber surrounds, Santoprene, or polypropylene — use L3890 for those materials.
Safety
L2100 is a non-flammable, water-based adhesive. No solvent vapors — making it one of the safer adhesives in the speaker repair lineup.
